SAAGH Event Waiver
HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVER AGREEMENT
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
I desire to participate in the Shell Alumni Association of Greater Houston (SAAGH)
event that is the subject of this announcement and accept the terms of this Hold
Harmless, Waiver Agreement and Assumption of Risk Agreement. I fully understand
that alcohol may be served during the event and/or transportation provided to and from,
or as part of, the applicable event. I also understand that I am fully and personally
responsible for my own safety and actions during my participation and I recognize that I
may be at risk of contracting COVID-19.
With full knowledge of the risks involved, I hereby covenant not to sue and I release,
waive, and discharge the SAAGH, its officers, directors, agents, successors and
assigns (Releasees) from any liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action
whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness or injury, including
death, that may be sustained by me or my property, caused by any negligence of any
Releasee or by my own actions, including unintentional exposure to COVID-19, while
participating in this event. I fully assume all risks for any activity I may engage in during
this event.
I further hereby agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss,
liability, damage and all direct and indirect costs, including without limitation court costs
of any type whatsoever and attorney fees, that such Releasees may incur due to my
participation in this event, even if caused by the negligence of Releasees.
It is my express intent that this Hold Harmless, Waiver Agreement and Assumption of
Risk Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my
heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a
release, waiver, discharge and covenant not to sue any of the Releasees. I hereby
further agree that this Hold Harmless, Waiver Agreement and Assumption of Risk
Agreement shall be construed only in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
In agreeing to this release, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing
Hold Harmless, Waiver Agreement and Assumption of Risk Agreement, understand it
and agree to it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; and no oral representations,
statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been
made to me. And further, my agreement to this Waiver will apply to any guests that I
bring to this event.
