Dinner and Stages Repertory Theatre - October 25

25 members and guests enjoyed a delicious dinner in the lovely outdoor garden of Backstreet Cafe and a play at Stages Theatre on October 25, 2017. The play, 'Ball's', was a mad cap retelling of the Bobby Riggs v. Billie Jean King, 'Battle of the Sexes', matchup in 1973 at the historic Houston Astrodome. The tennis match was juxtaposed against the controversial cultural change dominant during that time. The play was entertaining and thought provoking. This is a World Premiere of this production by an award winning writing and production team. Director Kelley Lang organized and hosted this event.

195 retirees, spouses, and guests attended our Annual Fall

Additional speakers included, Mike Seward discussing the activities of the United Way, Brenda Schroeder speaking on the Women's Initiative Program and Ted Kirkpatrick describing the WW II Honor Flight Program. Happy Hour at the Tasting Room

Over 30 people turned out for the Tasting Room social. It sure was a refreshing way to come together with friends old and new. This was the first event that some had attended, and they said they can't wait for the next one. What are YOU waiting for? You will be greeted with a smile by others who shared a similar work life and experience.

Alley Theater "The 39 Steps" - July 25

Dinner and a Night at the Theater

Forty members and guests joined us on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2017, for a dinner at Birraporetti’s and then off to the Alley Theatre for a wonderful performance of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, which was packed with nonstop laughs and over 150 eccentric characters played by only four actors.  The play provided a riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft.  The 39 Steps amounted to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure.

…dinner at Birraporetti’s…always a time to renew old friendships and form new ones over a relaxing casual dinner…
